25th World Congress of the World Society of Cardio-Thoracic Surgeons

We would like to invite you to Edinburgh, UK for the 25th Anniversary World Congress of Cardiothoracic Surgeons, and allied health professionals.

We will be celebrating a quarter of a century of the World Society of Cardiothoracic Surgeons, the only truly international organisation that encompasses all fields in the cardiothoracic surgical spectrum. It is only fitting that we celebrate this at the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, one of the oldest surgical colleges, and who have recently celebrated 500 years of leadership in the field of surgery.

The goal of the WSCTS is to bring together practitioners in the field of cardiothoracic surgery (surgeons, physicians, anaesthetists, perfusionists, nurses, surgical assistants, care practitioners, etc) from all corners of the globe, and allow interaction with each other, so they can improve their knowledge, and share experiences.

The 25th anniversary meeting will be a special celebration meeting, and will have as its theme “Remembering History, Understanding Recent Advances”. There will be plethora of postgraduate educational symposia covering a wide range of topics from the entire spectrum of cardiac and thoracic surgery. Delegates will have free access to all postgraduate lectures.

World leading experts will provide insight into the latest advances, while pioneers from the past will reflect on their experiences and experiments from the past.
