The Local Organising Committee of ESGAR 2013 has the honour and pleasure to invite you to attend the upcoming 24th Annual Meeting of the European Society of Gastrointestinal and Abdominal Radiology that will take place in Barcelona, Spain, from June 4-7, 2013.

The Annual ESGAR Meeting has a long and successful history starting in Crete in 1990. Since then the congress has progressively increased in the number of participants. Since the meeting held in Florence in 2005 and up to the latest one held in Venice in 2011 more than 1000 attendees have participated in the annual encounter. The high quality of the educational and scientific content and the expertise of the speakers and moderators have been the clues for the crescent interest of gastrointestinal and abdominal radiologists from Europe and all over the world to attend the ESGAR Meeting.

The ESGAR Programme Committee members have designed a new exciting programme including the presentation of the most recent innovations and hottest topics in our field and the discussion of the most controversial areas. These will be presented from a multidisciplinary point of view and making every effort to transmit scientific and well documented information and to promote the active participation and the generous exchange of ideas, experiences and knowledge between faculties and attendees. We invite you to increase the scientific content of the meeting by submitting scientific papers and posters.

The meeting venue will be the Palau de Congressos de Catalunya Conference Centre. The venue building won the national architecture award in 2001 and it is located on the Avenida Diagonal in Barcelona, the commercial and financial centre of the city. As such it has very convenient links into downtown by metro, bus and tram.
