 EACTS celebrates 27 years of staging Annual Meetings in 2013 and we are delighted to be returning, for the fourth time in our history, to the glorious city of Vienna. The Imperial city offers the visitor a rich diversity of cultural styles and eras in one of Europe's most vibrant cities. Steeped in history,the city center is a UNESCO world cultural heritage site, and is famous as the home of the Hofburg Palace, St. Stephen's Cathedral and the Palace of Schonbrunn - not to mention the Vienna Boys Choir and the famous Lipizzaner horses of the Spanish Riding School. Its coffee houses also offer a perfect place from which to dream of the Imperial days of yore.

This year's Annual Meeting will build upon the successes of the past. In Barcelona last year, registrations yet again surpassed expectations when 4,600 cardio-thoracic surgeons and allied health professionals joined forces with our Industry partners to achieve a record attendance of 6,500 participants.

We look forward to welcoming you to Vienna this October.
